Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they’ve already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.
Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long. You may soon feel like she’s practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby’s eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you’re having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.
This week has been amazing! We found out we were expecting our little Girl and Ella is over the moon about it! Ella has since suggested the name “Peek-A-Boo” but we have tabled both Peek-A-Boo and Twinkle as we have decided on a name! Although, I’m not quite ready to reveal it until the middle name is decided
once more. You see, when we found out we were blessed to be expecting again we said from the get go that if baby was a boy he would be given Brads middle name as his middle name and same would go for a girl, her middle name would be my middle name. Well, my husband (and his family really) seem to be in to themes, me, not so much. I like my middle name, I wanted to give it to Ella but there was an argument, so you can bet I’m putting up a fight this time around. It seems that since we have decided on a 2 syllable first name for this baby that Brad would now like a 1 syllable middle name since Ella is Ella Lynn, 2 syllables, 1 syllable. I think this is dumb a little silly and think we should go with what we had originally decided. Anyway! Once the middle name drama is out of the way, I will tell you all her name.
