I think this is the last thing. . . . .

Just a little tidbit but it is hillarious so I had to share. (Hillarious to me at least, maybe you had to be there.)
Last night, Brad was getting Ella’s bath water ready and I were getting her down to her birthday suit. We’ve been working on really pointing at things and saying what they are so she will start really picking up on what things are called. Well, there she is laying on her changing table and I pat myself on the chest and said “Ma Ma”. Well, the little turd pats me on my gut and says “Da Da”. I cracked up laughing. Brad just thought it was funny that she associated a gut with her daddy. =)

3 posts in 1 day?! Unheard of!

I just wanted to take a minute to brag a little bit. =) About what? My awesome svaings thanks to Shutterfly and their 50 free cards for bloggers, and about my AMAZING luck this morning.
First, just a quick note on the Shutterfly saving because I was quite impressed with myself. And, hopefully this will help other bloggers who have receieved the code but have not yet ordered their cards. Put in the code that is on the website for free shipping and then enter your code for the free cards. I ordered 75 cards, got free shipping, 50 free cards, the cards that I did end up paying for were 30% off, AND I had a $20 credit from Motherhood Maternity (awesome!).
Total spent for 75 personalized photo Christmas cards: $15.18
Total SAVINGS for 75 personalized photo Christmas cards: $149.49
Say What?! You read that right! LOVE IT!

Now on to my awesome luck. So, as everyone who knows me in real life that reads this blog knows, working for a ski resort, Holidays mean nothing, they are just another day where if it’s in your scheduled work week, you’re working. Christmas is on a Saturday this year, Brad and I both work Saturdays. It’s just the luck of the draw, so for us Christmas this year is Monday the 27th. That being said, there is no Black Friday shopping when you work at a Ski resort, I was lucky enough to get someone to Cover me for Thanksgiving since daycare was closed. Yesterday, I looked online at some of the things I wanted to get Ella and some other people for Christmas, didn’t really see anything worth writing home for so I figured I would wait for “Cyber Monday”. This morning when I got to work I had an e-mail from Kohl’s about their Saturday Doorbusters so I figured I’d look again, SO glad I did!
I was going a little nuts for Ella because the deals were amazing, I got her:

This musical learning table that I know she’ll love (Little girl not included)

(This little girl not included either!)
Ha! Anyway, I got her these things, a couple items for Brad, some clothes for my niece, etc. I went to place my order and I kept getting an error message stating “One or more of your items can only be shipped via standard shipping, please select this method and hit continue.” My Mama didn’t raise no fool, I was already trying to use standard shipping since, hello, spend more then $50 and your shipping is FREE! I siwtched to every other shipping method available and kept getting the error message. I was fed up and ALMOST ready say screw it. But I wanted these things for Ella, and was happy to have found some things that I liked for Brad and for Devon, so I called the 1-800 number to see if they could tell me what was going on. Thank the lord that I did!
The guy on the phone was SO nice. He had me save the items to my basket and then log out so that he could get in to my account. He was able to tell me that the blocks and one of the items for Brad was not able to be shipped to a P.O. Box, being a small mountain town, that’s all you get around here. He was then able to get the two items in question switched to be shipped UPS to our home, the rest of the order still shipped to the PO box, free shipping on both modes of shipping and 30% off the order for my trouble! WHAT?! So nice! THEN, oh yes, it gets better. Then when he asked how I was paying and I said my Kohl’s card, I got another 15% off for being a Kohl’s card Member! He then had me log back in to my account so that I could see the order in writing and make sure that everything was correct before we got off the phone so he could immediately change something if he needed to. WOW! Just Wow. I saved enough money that I was able to feel comfortable going ahead and ordering the Wagon I wanted for Ella for Christmas. Today is an amazing day! Just had to share. I just wanted to share my amazing customer service story because usually you get jilted, this guy made my day! Thank you Kohl’s Man!

9 Month/Family Photos

Christmas cards have been ordered, and received. Now this weekend I will be addressing and getting them all ready to go! Yay! I am not going to Post the cards here until a few days after they’ve been mailed but I did want to show you some of my favorite pictures from the day. Now you can guess which, if any of these, made the card. =)
And, as a side note, anyone up here in the area, Helen is an amazingly sweet person, a good friend, and an AMAZING photographer. If you are looking for some SUPER affordable (especially for this area) photography please go to her. You will not regret it. You should always have a picture to capture your memories.
Now, on to my memories!

Thanksgiving

So, when I left you before, I was hoping to feel human again by Thanksgiving. Went to bed Wednesday night, slept well since Ella slept awesome. We were up at 7:30 AM (Ella’s new routine wake up time, not too shabby!) and I felt okay, but not hungry. The day went on, we played, I cooked, but didn’t eat because I didn’t ever get hungry. The day went on and at about 11:30 Brad sent me a text and said he didn’t “feel right”. Uh Oh!
At 2:01 PM I got a text, “changing and coming home, I have whatever you had.” Fail! I guess at that point Darren called Alicia and told her “Thanksgiving is ruined!” Ha! Silly boy, I was cooking a 22 lb Turkey and side dishes galore, they were coming over to eat. Brad got home and slept for a while, he said he woke up at about 5:30 and when he didn’t hear anything going on in the house he thought that Darren and Alicia didn’t want to come over since he was sick and he felt so bad for ruining my Thanksgiving. Is that not the sweetest, most pathetic thing you’ve ever heard?! Love him!
Anyway, about 10 minutes later, they did come over, as Darren says “Me like Turkey.” Brad came out to say his Hellos and then went back to bed, poor guy. The Turkey took way longer then the 3-3 1/2 hours that the directions said it would, instead it took 5 hours (screw you Turkey bags, you did not cut cooking time in half!) Anyway, so when it was finally time to eat and Darren was carving the Turkey, Ella was ready for bed. So, I put her to bed (she was NOT going to stay up for any matter of food) and then we ate. Big mistake for me. Long night afterwards. It took me until last night, a whopping 76 hours since I had really eaten, to feel hungry again let alone keep anything down. This bug SUCKS! And it is going around everywhere it seems.
Anyway, yesterday morning, I called Alicia to make sure everyone was still fine, nope. She had gotten it too! So, as of now Darren is the only one in our little group who is still healthy. Lucky boy! But now all of us are feeling better so that is good.
So, I guess this wasn’t ALL about Thanksgiving. But I’m very Thankful that we got to spend time together, no matter how we all felt. Thankful for my family and amazing friends, my health (now), and life. This is an amazing world we live in.
And now, for some pictures of my amazing little girl on her first Thanksgiving!

We Spent our morning in Jammies, watching the parade on TV and playing with Cassidy. Cody would not have any of it.

Then it was time for serious Thanksgiving outfit time, “Thankful For Mommy” Love it!

And the Turkey Butt! Too cute!

And, her new favorite place to hang out, the sun room. Of course it only has the hardest and most uneven surface in the house.

But, it’s all worth it because her new favorite game is playing Peek a Boo behind the curtains!

And, since she didn’t get to wear her Turkey bib on Thanksgiving, here is my exhausted little girl sporting it on Black Friday. =)

11.2

What the heck does that mean? 11.2 is the number of pounds lighter that I was this morning after a night of food poisoning.
Yesterday was the annual Thanksgiving feast at Ella’s daycare, at about 4:30 I started feeling horrible and was up ALL night. Poor little Kasen got sick too. So sorry I didn’t post today, I am just barely beginning to feel human again. I’m hoping if I go to bed now I’ll be feel normal again tomorrow so I can cook.

Dear Santa;

::Cough::Brad!::Cough::
Haha, like he reads the blog. I have had a couple of questions about things that I want/need for Christmas. This list is just to put it out there to the masses in case anyone (really, anyone) wants to buy me a gift. Haha!
First, we’ll prove how level headed I am and start with the needs.

Pajama Pants like these adorable ones from Old Navy! Seriously, go look at all of the awesome prints they have.

Slippers! Brads dad sent me a pair of these slippers a few years ago for Christmas. I bought a second pair to go to the hospital with me because I wore the first pair to death, now I have worn the second pair to death, I need new slippers.

Oh yes, this girl needs some socks! I don’t know where they go, but mine sneak away, and it’s not like I’m the one in the house with stinky feet.

And now for some absolute wants, the first one is somewhat practical.

I would love a higher zoom lens for my camera so that I can do a little more with my pictures of Ella.
I would also like some Copper Bottom cookware. Maybe something like this? It’s affordable because, well, it’s Walmart. But also should be durable with the Copper bottom, not to mention so much more even heating! And, our black Friday deal cookware from a few years ago just is not holding up.

And now, for the biggest want ever!

What is this, you ask? Once you order this charm they send you a kit to put a fingerprint impression on. You send it back and they put that impression onto a charm as a necklace, you can have a name engraved on the back. I would LOVE 2 of them, one with Ella’s fingerprint, and the other with Brad’s so that I can always have them with me. SWOON! I love this!
Anyway, that’s all. I swear there will be an Ella post VERY, very soon.

40 Weeks, 2 Days

A big number in my life.

For 40 weeks, 2 days, I carried Ella around, just with me. I got to love her, feel her move, on a completely different level.

Now today, My baby girl is 40 weeks, 2 days old. You all have had the pleasure of getting to experience her here in the world, for as long as I got to experience her for myself.

We’re all so lucky.

It’s that time again!

What time? Christmas card time! Maybe it isn’t even a thought in a normal persons mind, but to the crazy Christmas girls like myself, I’m a little late!
Which leads me to picking my Christmas card design. For the past couple of years we’ve gone through Shutterfly and have always had a great experience with them. So, that’s where we went for our birth announcements also. They have so many amazing designs to choose from, and this year we have an even bigger delimma, what kind of card are we looking for?
Do we want something fun, like this, since we have a baby now?

Something a little more modern, like this?

Or maybe something a little more traditional? Like this?

Just know that whichever route we go, I’ll be making decisions quickly, and you’ll be getting fun cards very soon! They also have tons of other things to make as well if you’re looking for gift ideas. A couple of years ago I made my Grandma a photo calendar, she LOVED it! And this year for Mother’s day, both my mom and Brads mom were given Photo Books, a big hit!
